Players Roll Back The Years for Andy Lindon's Testimonial

Players from the Cheadle Town FC roster of some ten years ago came together once more to tread the Park Road baize for Andy Lindon's testimonial match.

Trevor Howard's XI
BACK: Adam Roberts, Clark, Dickin, Piggott, Brocklehurst, Jack, Trevor Howard (manager)
FRONT: Ben Roberts, Lindon, Flanagan, Dan Brokenbrow, Woods

Steve Brokenbrow's XI
BACK: Steve Brokenbrow (manager), Street, Smith Jnr, Smith, O'Keefe, Thommo, Cotterill, Logan
FRONT: McDonagh, Martin, Hussain, Brad Brokenbrow, Brennan

For the record it was Trevor Howard's XI that came out on top with a 4-1 victory.

Amongst the goals was Andy Lindon himself, netting a penalty. Dean Martin also showed that he still "had it" in front of goal, curling in a peach of an effort and Scott 'The Wasp' Flanagan chipped in with a cool finish.

Current Reserves team coaching staff Chris Woods and Dave McGreal also got a run out, with Woods showing some unselfish play to set up Rob Brocklehurst for a tap-in.

A good time was had by all and it was pleasing to see so many old faces turn up.
