Fundraising Night to Replace Ground Equipment

Sorely missed from Park Road

Come along on Saturday 23rd to play your part in funding a replacement....

As you may know by now, the club had a break-in a couple of weeks ago where a significant amount of ground maintenance equipment was stolen.

Running to an approximate value of £2,000 the thieves made away with a sit-on mower and other vital pieces of equipment that went with it, leaving our groundsman Phil Mottershead with absolutely no means of maintaining our pitch.

Naturally we would like to make a start in funding replacements for Phil so that he can continue to do the excellent work he does for the club.

Therefore we have decided to have a fundraising night at the clubhouse at Park Road.

Starting at 7.30pm on Saturday 23rd September there will be various raffles etc. for everybody to participate in.

Three of the prizes on offer are

  • a round of golf for two people with Matt Nixon from the European Tour at Withington Golf Club
  • a Barcelona shirt signed by Messi, Xavi and Van Bronckhorst
  • a karaoke machine

The clubhouse bar will, of course, be open as well so come along for what should be an enjoyable evening that will try and raise as much money as possible.

The First XI will be at home to Oswestry Town that afternoon so why not make a day of it and take in the match beforehand, too?

We hope to see you there!
